At Mountstewart Moiled, Andrew and Nigel rear native Irish moiled cattle with the goal of producing the highest quality beef with the lowest impact on their environment. Without grain or soy, often imported from across the globe, their cattle take time to grow as nature intended. Left outside year round, sheltered by woodland rather than walls - they eliminate slurry and the effects on their water courses. At a low stocking density, they gently graze multi-species swards - avoiding carbon intensive artificial fertilisers and harmful pesticides.
